Saturday night, May 25, 2013, Vida Vegan gets gussied up. Join us at Staver Locomotive for an evening filled with music, food, drink, raffle prizes, and a Silent Auction. Up your ‘do, link those cuffs, and strap on those dancin’ shoes—do it for the animals.
All funds from the Silent Auction and a portion of tickets sold will go straight to Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest.
The event runs 7:00-9:30 pm and includes vegan snacks and the So Delicious Ice Cream Spectacular, featuring brownies from Capital City Bakery.
The event is all ages, but no drinking for the minors, so bring your ID!
About Chimpanzee Sanctuary NW:
Located in Cle Elum, Washington, the sanctuary was founded in 2003 to provide lifetime quality care for formerly abused and exploited chimpanzees while advocating for great apes. CSNW stands as a safe home for chimpanzees from the entertainment and biomedical testing industries; the chimpanzees currently at the sanctuary had spent their lives being leased out for biomedical testing.
We’re so happy to have them, and we welcome you to talk with you about their mission and hope for the future.
Entertainment: Our emcee for the evening will be Brian “The Sexy Vegan” Patton, and we’re lining up our DJ. Much more to come—whispers of a karaoke room and a photo booth are in the air…
About Vida Vegan:
Vida Vegan was founded in 2009 by Janessa Philemon-Kerp, Jess Sconé, and Michele Truty to produce conferences, seminars, and other events—including Vida Vegan Con—to promote veganism and to unite and educate the ever-growing community of vegan bloggers, readers, and users. We are committed to making fundraising for animal sanctuaries and other vegan-related charities part of our mission. Find more information about Vida Vegan and our events here.
